Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning Software versions prior to 11.1
Description
The issue allows an authenticated, remote attacker to view any file on an affected system due to improper input validation of HTTP requests and the failure to apply role-based access controls (RBACs) to requested HTTP URLs. An attacker could exploit this by sending a crafted HTTP request using directory traversal techniques to access a desired file location. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view any file on the system.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 11.1, update to Release 11.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using directory traversal techniques in HTTP requests until the issue is resolved.
Fix
