CVE-2017-7202

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SLiMS 7 Cendana versions prior to 2017-03-16
Description The issue is related to insufficient filtration of user-supplied data, specifically the id variable, passed to the "slims7 cendana-master/template/default/detail template.php" and "slims7 cendana-master/template/default-rtl/detail template.php" API endpoints. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a browser in the context of the vulnerable website.
Recommendations For SLiMS 7 Cendana versions prior to 2017-03-16, update to a version released after 2017-03-16 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "slims7 cendana-master/template/default/detail template.php" and "slims7 cendana-master/template/default-rtl/detail template.php" endpoints to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the id variable in these endpoints until the issue is resolved.
