| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
iOS versions prior to 10.3
Description
The issue is related to the Profiles component of the iOS operating system and is caused by insufficient encryption resilience. It involves the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) implementation, which allows remote attackers to bypass cryptographic protection mechanisms by leveraging DES support.
Recommendations
For iOS versions prior to 10.3, update to a version 10.3 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) in the Profiles component until a patch is available.
Fix
Inadequate Encryption Strength
