Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ImageWorsener version 1.3.0
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, specifically a heap-based buffer over-read, by providing a crafted file. This is due to a problem in the
iwmiffr convert row32 function in imagew-miff.c in libimageworsener.a.Recommendations
For ImageWorsener version 1.3.0, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the
iwmiffr convert row32 function until a patch is available. Avoid processing crafted files with this version to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
