CVE-2017-7686

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Apache Ignite versions 1.0.0-RC3 through 2.0
Description The issue concerns the update notifier component in Apache Ignite, which communicates with an external PHP server at http://ignite.run to notify users about new project releases. This component sends system properties, including Apache Ignite or Java version, some of which might contain user-sensitive information.
Recommendations For Apache Ignite versions 1.0.0-RC3 through 2.0, consider restricting the system properties sent to the external PHP server to minimize the risk of exposing sensitive user information. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the update notifier component until a more secure solution is implemented.
