Description
The issue arises when Microsoft SharePoint software fails to properly sanitize specially crafted requests. This allows an attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks on affected systems, running scripts in the security context of the current user. Such attacks could enable the attacker to read unauthorized content, use the victim's identity to take actions on the SharePoint site (like changing permissions or deleting content), steal sensitive information (such as browser cookies), and inject malicious content into the victim's browser.
