Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URI that lacks the cid parameter.

Recommendations For EPESI versions 1.8.2 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider validating and sanitizing all input parameters, especially the cid parameter, to prevent malicious URI crafting. Restrict access to the check for new version.php module until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
