Description The issue is related to a memory address leak when parsing the header of a JPEG 2000 file. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is associated with the JPEG 2000 stream processing service in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat.
Recommendations For versions 11.0.19 and earlier, update to a version later than 11.0.19 to resolve the issue. For versions 15.006.30280 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.006.30280 to resolve the issue. For versions 15.023.20070 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.023.20070 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the parsing of JPEG 2000 files until a patch is available.
