Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Subsonic version 6.1.1
Description
A cross-site request forgery (CSRF) issue allows remote attackers with knowledge of the target
username to hijack user authentication for requests that change passwords via a crafted request to "userSettings.view".Recommendations
For Subsonic version 6.1.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the password change functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to the "userSettings.view" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
username variable in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
