Description:
The issue allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .fpx file. This is related to "Data from Faulting Address controls Branch Selection starting at ntdll 77df0000!RtlpCoalesceFreeBlocks+0x00000000000001b6."
Recommendations:
For IrfanView version 4.44 (32bit) with FPX Plugin 4.46, consider disabling the FPX Plugin as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Avoid using the FPX Plugin to open .fpx files until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
