Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the Qualcomm Secure Execution Environment (QSEE) in the Android operating system. When a secure application in QSEE receives a memory address, it does not verify whether the address belongs to user space or kernel space. This lack of verification could allow a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges. The high-level operating system (HLOS) does not provide sufficient memory address information to ensure that secure applications in QSEE only write to legitimate memory ranges.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
