CVSS v3.1
9.8
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
TiEmu versions 2.08 and prior
Description
TiEmu versions 2.08 and earlier are susceptible to a stack-based buffer overflow due to insufficient boundary checks on user-provided input. Attackers can exploit this by providing crafted command-line arguments to the application. This allows them to trigger the overflow, bypass security measures using Return-Oriented Programming (ROP) gadgets, and execute arbitrary shellcode within the application's context.
Recommendations
Update TiEmu to a version later than 2.08.
