Description The issue is related to the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL, specifically with the Server: Optimizer subcomponent. It allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks can result in the unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. The vulnerability is easily exploitable and can be triggered remotely.
Recommendations For versions 5.6.35 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.35 to resolve the issue. At the moment, there is no information about additional mitigation measures for this specific vulnerability.
