Description
The issue is related to the
video usercopy function in the Linux kernel, which relies on the count value of a v4l2 ext controls data structure to determine a kmalloc size. This might allow local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a large value. The problem is associated with resource management errors in the Linux kernel.Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.39, update to version 2.6.39 or later to resolve the issue.
