Description
The issue is related to Microsoft Edge improperly accessing objects in memory, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. This could potentially lead to an attacker gaining control of an affected system if the current user has administrative user rights, enabling them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 1607 and Windows Server 2016, update to a version that properly handles memory access to prevent arbitrary code execution.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
