Description The issue is related to the WritePICONImage function in coders/xpm.c, which is part of the ImageMagick console graphics editor. It is caused by a buffer overflow in memory. Exploitation of this issue can allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in a memory leak, by using a specially crafted file.
Recommendations For ImageMagick version 7.0.6-4, consider disabling the WritePICONImage function in coders/xpm.c as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
