Description The issue is related to the load level function in coders/xcf.c, which lacks offset validation. This allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file, resulting in load tile memory exhaustion. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially formed file.
Recommendations For ImageMagick versions 7.0.6 through 7.0.8, consider updating to a version that includes the fix for the load level function offset validation issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
