CVSS v2.0

7.6

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Edge versions in Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016
Description The issue is related to the incorrect handling of objects in memory by Microsoft Edge, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. This can be achieved through a specially crafted web site, ActiveX control, or Microsoft Office document. If the current user has administrative rights, a successful exploitation could grant the attacker control over the affected system, enabling them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations For Microsoft Edge in Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016, update to a version that includes the fix for the memory handling issue to prevent arbitrary code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
