Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WPA and WPA2 (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the management of cryptographic keys in the WPA2 protocol, which secures Wi-Fi networks. It allows an attacker within radio range to exploit the vulnerability by reinstalling the Integrity Group Temporal Key (IGTK) during the four-way handshake, enabling them to spoof frames from access points to clients. This can lead to unauthorized access to encrypted information transmitted over the wireless network, such as decrypting or injecting data packets, or hijacking TCP connections.
