CVE-2017-13088

CVSS v2.0

7.9

High

VectorAV:A/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WPA and WPA2 versions (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2) that support 802.11v, allowing reinstallation of the Integrity Group Temporal Key (IGTK) when processing a Wireless Network Management (WNM) Sleep Mode Response frame. This enables an attacker within radio range to replay frames from access points to clients. The vulnerability is also associated with errors in cryptographic key management, which can be exploited by an attacker to access encrypted information transmitted over the wireless network, such as decrypting or injecting data packets, or hijacking TCP connections, by reinstalling the integrity group key when processing a Wireless Network Management Sleep Mode Response frame.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
