CVE-2017-11013

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the UnpackCore function in the Android operating system's kernel from the CAF repository, which has insufficient access control. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of a privileged process using a specially crafted file. The problem arises because the countOffset in the UnpackCore function is increased for each loop without a boundary check against pIe->arraybound.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
