CVE-2017-5067

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 58.0.3029.81 Opera versions prior to 58.0.3029.81
Description The issue exists due to an insufficient watchdog timer in navigation, allowing a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page. This can enable an attacker to manipulate the user interface.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 58.0.3029.81, update to version 58.0.3029.81 or later. For Opera versions prior to 58.0.3029.81, update to version 58.0.3029.81 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to crafted HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
