CVE-2017-16845

CVSS v3.1

10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Qemu (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the post load function in the hw/input/ps2.c file of Qemu, which does not correctly validate input data. Specifically, it does not properly check the rptr and count values during guest migration, leading to out-of-bounds access in dynamic memory. This could allow a remote attacker to read beyond the buffer boundaries.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
