High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Android kernel
Description:
The issue is related to the wl get assoc ies function in the wl cfg80211.c file of the Broadcom bcmdhd Wi-Fi driver in the Android operating system kernel. It involves an out of bounds write in memory due to an incorrect bounds check, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code without needing additional execution privileges. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations:
For Android kernel, apply the fix for the incorrect bounds check in the wl get assoc ies function to prevent out of bounds write.
Fix
