Description:
The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the
avrc pars vendor cmd function of avrc pars tg.cc in the Android operating system. This could lead to remote code execution with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.Recommendations:
For Android versions 5.1.1 through 8.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
avrc pars vendor cmd function until a patch is available.
