Description:
A buffer overflow issue exists in the GERAN component of the Android operating system. This issue may allow a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. The problem is caused by a buffer overflow in memory.
Recommendations:
For Android versions prior to security patch level 2018-04-05, apply the security patch to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the GERAN component until a patch is available.
