CVE-2017-3130

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: FortiOS versions 5.6.0 and below FortiOS version 5.4.4 and below
Description: The issue is related to the storage of FortiOS version information in FortiOS IKE packets. An attacker can exploit this to disclose protected information about the FortiOS version by inspecting the VendorID in FortiOS IKE packets. This allows a remote attacker to obtain FortiOS version info.
Recommendations: For FortiOS versions 5.6.0 and below, consider restricting access to FortiOS IKE packets to minimize the risk of exploitation. For FortiOS version 5.4.4 and below, avoid using the VendorID in the affected FortiOS IKE packets until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
