Description:
The issue is related to insufficient data validation in the Downloads component of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to potentially run arbitrary code outside the sandbox. This can be achieved via a crafted Chrome Extension. The estimated number of potentially affected devices and details about real-world incidents are not provided.
Recommendations:
For Google Chrome versions prior to 64.0.3282.119, update to version 64.0.3282.119 or later to resolve the issue.
