Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the stack of the embedded web server in the firmware of Moxa EDS-G516E and Moxa EDS-510E switches. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause the device to go out of service using a specially crafted packet.
Recommendations
For Moxa EDS-G516E Series firmware version 5.2 or lower, update to a version higher than 5.2 to resolve the issue.
For Moxa EDS-510E, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
