CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CUPS versions prior to 2.2.6
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the add job function when D-Bus support is enabled. This can be exploited by remote attackers by sending print jobs with an invalid username, potentially allowing them to impact data integrity.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.2.6, update to version 2.2.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling D-Bus support until a patch is available.
