CVE-2017-13134

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ImageMagick versions 7.0.6-6 GraphicsMagick version 1.3.26
Description The issue is related to a heap-based buffer over-read error in the SFWScan function, located in coders/sfw.c, which can be exploited by attackers to cause a denial of service using a specially crafted file. This can be triggered by a remote attacker.
Recommendations For ImageMagick version 7.0.6-6, consider disabling the SFWScan function in coders/sfw.c as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. For GraphicsMagick version 1.3.26, restrict access to the SFWScan function in coders/sfw.c to minimize the risk of exploitation.
