Description The issue is related to the ReadRLEImage function in coders/rle.c, which mishandles RLE headers that specify too few colors. This can be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a heap-based buffer over-read and application crash, via a crafted file. The vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow error in the GraphicsMagick library.
Recommendations For GraphicsMagick version 1.3.26, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
