Description The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the pluginscodeclibflac plugin.dll library of the VideoLAN VLC media player. This can be exploited by attackers using a crafted FLAC file, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (heap corruption and application crash).
Recommendations For version 2.2.4, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version is affected by the buffer overflow vulnerability in the libflac plugin.dll library. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
