CVE-2017-10379

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL versions 5.5.57 and earlier Oracle MySQL versions 5.6.37 and earlier Oracle MySQL versions 5.7.19 and earlier
Description The issue is related to the Client programs subcomponent of Oracle MySQL and is caused by a lack of protection for service data. It allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server, resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all MySQL Server accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 5.5.57 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.5.57 to resolve the issue. For versions 5.6.37 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.6.37 to resolve the issue. For versions 5.7.19 and earlier, update to a version later than 5.7.19 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation.
