CVE-2018-4056
CVSS v2.0
10
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
coTURN versions prior to 4.5.0.9
Description
The issue is related to a lack of protection against SQL injection in the coTURN server function. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted username in a login message, resulting in authentication bypass and potentially gaining access to the TURN server administrator web portal. This can be triggered by logging in via the external interface of the TURN server.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.5.0.9, update to version 4.5.0.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the administrator web portal to minimize the risk of exploitation.
