Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 4.15.0-91.92
Description
The issue is related to the lack of protection for service data in the i915 module of the Linux kernel, which can be exploited to gain unauthorized access to protected information. This vulnerability affects certain Intel graphics processors and can expose sensitive information when an attacker uses it to their advantage.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 4.15.0-91.92, update to version 4.15.0-91.92 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive information and limiting the use of the i915 module until a patch is available.
