Description The issue is related to a missing NULL check in the ReadMATImage function in coders/mat.c, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. This results in an assertion failure and application exit in the DestroyImageInfo function in MagickCore/image.c.
Recommendations For ImageMagick versions prior to 6.9.9-3, update to version 6.9.9-3 or later. For ImageMagick versions prior to 7.0.6-3, update to version 7.0.6-3 or later.
