10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GNU C Library versions 2.21 through 2.27
Description The issue is related to an SSE2-optimized memmove implementation in the GNU C Library, which does not correctly perform the overlapping memory check. This can result in corrupt data being produced by the copy operation, potentially disclosing information to attackers, causing a denial of service, or possibly allowing code execution. The vulnerability is also associated with a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For GNU C Library versions 2.21 through 2.27, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
