CVSS v2.0

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions glibc versions prior to 2.26
Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability in the clntudp call function, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to impact data integrity. This vulnerability is associated with the use of memory after it has been freed.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.26, update to version 2.26 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the clntudp call function in the sunrpc/clnt udp.c component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
