VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: OpenCV versions through 3.3
Description: The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read error in the icvCvt BGRA2BGR 8u C4C3R function when reading an image file using cv::imread. This error can allow a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise data integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations: For OpenCV versions through 3.3, consider disabling the icvCvt BGRA2BGR 8u C4C3R function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Additionally, restrict the use of cv::imread for reading image files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
