Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
phpBugTracker versions prior to 1.7.0
Description
The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via several parameters, including the
project name parameter to "project.php", the use js parameter to "user.php" and "group.php", the Description parameter to "status.php" and "severity.php", the Regex parameter to "os.php", and the Name parameter to "database.php".Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.7.0, update to version 1.7.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the affected parameters, such as
project name, use js, Description, Regex, and Name, in their respective PHP files until the update is applied.Fix
