Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
textract versions prior to 1.5.0
Description
The issue allows OS Command Injection attacks via a filename in a call to the
process function. This may be a remote attack if a web application accepts names of arbitrary uploaded files.Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.5.0, update to version 1.5.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider validating and sanitizing filenames before passing them to the
process function to minimize the risk of exploitation.Exploit
