CVE-2016-7781

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Exponent CMS versions 2.3.9 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is achieved via the author parameter in the blogController.php file, which is part of the framework/modules/blog/controllers directory.
Recommendations For Exponent CMS versions 2.3.9 and earlier, consider restricting access to the author parameter in the blogController.php file until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the author parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
