Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Trend Micro Threat Discovery Appliance versions 2.6.1062r1 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code as the root user. This is achieved by exploiting shell metacharacters in the
cache id parameter of the log query dlp.cgi endpoint.Recommendations
For versions 2.6.1062r1 and earlier, avoid using the
cache id parameter in the log query dlp.cgi endpoint until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the log query dlp.cgi endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation.Exploit
