Description The issue is related to a potential crash in the LDSS dissector. This crash could occur when the dissector encounters a missing '0' character, leading to a buffer over-read. The problem was addressed by modifying the code in epan/dissectors/packet-ldss.c to avoid this over-read.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 2.2.0 through 2.2.14, update to a version that includes the fix for the LDSS dissector issue. For Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.6, update to a version that includes the fix for the LDSS dissector issue. For Wireshark version 2.6.0, update to a version that includes the fix for the LDSS dissector issue.
