Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Moonshot Provisioning Manager Appliance version v1.20
Description
A Remote Code Execution issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the khuploadfile.cgi script of the HPE Moonshot Provisioning Manager Appliance. This allows a remote attacker to upload arbitrary files and execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
Recommendations
For version v1.20, consider disabling the khuploadfile.cgi script as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the affected directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable script until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
