Description The issue is related to an Incorrect Access Control vulnerability in SpawningKit. A malicious application managed by Passenger can report an arbitrary different PID back to Passenger's process manager upon spawning a child process. If the malicious application generates an error, it would cause Passenger's process manager to kill the reported arbitrary PID.
Recommendations For Phusion Passenger versions 5.3.x through 5.3.1, update to version 5.3.2 or later to resolve the issue.
