Description
The issue is caused by an integer overflow in the Qualcomm VT Call Handler component of the Android operating system. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information during a VT call. The exploitation is related to a buffer overflow that occurs due to the integer overflow.
Recommendations
For Android versions prior to 2018-04-05 security patch level on the specified Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile devices, update to a version with a security patch level of 2018-04-05 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting VT call functionality until a patch is available.
