Description
This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of PDF documents due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this, in conjunction with other issues, to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations
For Foxit Reader version 9.0.1.5096, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version allows for the disclosure of sensitive information and potential arbitrary code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
