Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in memory, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted web page. This could corrupt memory, enabling the attacker to execute code in the context of the current user. If the user has administrative rights, the attacker could gain control of the system, install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights.
Recommendations For Microsoft Edge, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For ChakraCore, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to specially crafted web pages that could exploit this issue. Avoid using Microsoft Edge or ChakraCore for sensitive operations until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
